Q. Is there a shipping charge for every prescription?
A. Shipping charges are always $15.00 USD, per order shipped (maximum 4 items), not per prescription.
All dispensing fees, physician review fees, and interdisciplinary consultation fees are included in our prices. (If two people from
the same address order at the same time, there is only a single shipping fee because all of the medications will be sent
in the same package.)
Q. Is there a professional fee for each prescription?
A. No. When ordering your prescription drugs from Meds Thru Canada,
all dispensing fees, physician review fees, and interdisciplinary consultation fees are included in our prices.
Q. What payment methods are accepted by Meds Thru Canada?
A. Meds Thru Canada accepts Visa
,
MasterCard
,
certified checks and money orders.
Q. Why are prescribed drugs offered by Meds Thru Canada considerably cheaper than an average American Pharmacy?
A. There are many factors, including: Canadian government drug price regulation, availability of generic
alternatives, and the exchange rate between US and Canadian funds.
Q. Are your prices in US dollars or Canadian dollars?
A. All prices appearing on the website are in United States Dollars.
All prices quoted on the phone are also in US Dollars. Please note that prices appearing on the website are
approximate, based on the exchange rate when the prices were updated. For a firm quote, please call us
at 800-584-5598 (Promo Code #100039).
Q. Can I claim my medications shipped by Meds Thru Canada through my insurance company?
A. Absolutely. Every order is shipped with a copy of the invoice which states the medication name,
dosage, quantity and price along with shipping charges. You can then submit this to your insurance
company for reimbursement.
Q. What about sales tax?
A. No sales tax is charged.
Q. Why is the price different from the last time that I ordered?
Due to market fluctuations, manufacturer pricing, and US/Canadian exchange rates, prices of items may change from time to time.
Q. Are all brand name American prescription drugs available from Meds Thru Canada?
A. No, but most brand name prescription drugs are available through Meds Thru Canada.
We also provide a large selection of generic medications that match the brand name formulations.
Ask your prescribing doctor to contact us to determine if the brand name (or its generic equivalent)
will suit your needs.
Q. What is the difference between brand name prescription drugs and the
generic drug equivalent?
A. A generic drug is a medication for which the original manufacturer has lost its original
patent protection and other drug manufacturers have produced the exact same medication at a
much lower price for the consumer. The generic drug is the exact same medication as the original
brand name drug, and because of strict industry regulations enforced by the federal government
these drugs must provide the same therapeutic effect as the brand name drug.
Q. What is the quality difference between my American doctor's prescribed drugs and those offered by Meds Thru Canada?
A. Canada and the United States share the same exceptionally high standards in the production of drugs
and medication. In a few cases, prescription drug from Canada will use a different name but will be of equal
quality and strength as the brand name prescription prescribed by a US doctor.
Q. Are the generic drugs that you sell safe?
A. Yes, Canadian generics are just as safe and effective as US generics. Just like the FDA in the US,
Canada has a government agency that tightly monitors the safety and quality of all drugs sold in Canada.
Q. Why do the pills I received look different than the ones I get from my local pharmacy?
A. If you are used to Brand Name pills and you have ordered a Generic from us,
the pills we send you WILL LOOK DIFFERENT. Generics do not look the same as the Brand Name
products, even though they have the SAME ACTIVE INGREDIENT and work in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY.
In addition, the same Brand Name pill may look slightly different in Canada than it does in the US.
For example, Celexa 20mg is a peach colored pill in the US, yet the Canadian pill is white and a
little bit smaller than the US pill. Both pills are Celexa 20mg, both have
the SAME ACTIVE INGREDIENT, and both are made by the SAME COMPANY. But, for whatever
reason, the manufacturer decided to make the Canadian pill a different color. Lastly, when
comparing 2 different Generics, they WILL LOOK DIFFERENT if they are made by 2 different companies.
Q. What is required for me to get my first shipment of prescription medication
from Meds Thru Canada?
A. The procedure is simple:
- Complete the Customer Info and Consent Form
- Call us to determine the exact costs, and payment details
- Send (mail, courier, etc) the form plus the original prescriptions to us, at:
Meds Thru Canada 318 Keewatin AVe Toronto, ON M4P 2A5 Canada
|
You can also call us anytime: 800-584-5598 (Promo Code #100039) or fax us at 573-256-5036.
Q. What is the best strategy for ordering new and repeat prescriptions?
A. The best ordering strategy is to have the prescription written for a 3-month supply (rounded
up to the nearest manufacturer packaging size). Another good tip is to have at least 3 repeats included
on the original prescription, to expedite the repeat process. Combining these two strategies allows
you to get an entire year's supply (4 shipments a year) with the least possible shipping charge. It also allows
visits to your physician to co-incide with your prescription schedule.
Q. How long does it take to receive my prescription drugs from Meds Thru Canada?
A. New prescriptions could take up to 21 days to arrive. That time is used for our doctor/customer
or pharmacist/customer consultation, interdisiplinary consultation (if required), account setup,
payment verification, and other housekeeping things. Additionally, the packaging and shipping may take
a few days of that time as well. We strive to have the medications to you as soon as possible.
Repeat prescriptions can generally be filled within 10 business days.
Q. Why does Meds Thru Canada limit my prescription medications to a 3 month supply?
A. Due to American FDA regulations, there is a maximum of 3 month supply of a prescription drug
or medication that can be imported from a Canadian pharmacy per order.
Q. Can Meds Thru Canada fill prescriptions from American doctors?
A. Yes we can once a Canadian doctor has reviewed your medical history and approved the
prescription under his/her Canadian license.
Q. Can Meds Thru Canada transfer my prescription from my local pharmacy?
A. No. We are required to have an original copy of the prescription on file. Furthermore, there are
privacy issues involved here that are very complex.
Q. Does Meds Thru Canada sell narcotics?
A. No, it is illegal for a Canadian pharmacy to mail a narcotic or controlled substance to a US resident.
Q. How can you sell some items without a prescription?
A. Some of the items featured on our website do not require a prescription in Canada, although
they may require one in the USA.
Q. How long are my refills good for?
A. You will have as many refills as your US doctor has authorized you to have on the prescription
that you deliver to us (up to a maximum of a one year supply). The maximum your doctor should authorize is a one year supply.
Q. If my spouse and I order together, do we each pay a shipping charge?
A. No, two orders can be shipped in the same package to a single address, incurring only one single shipping fee.
Each customer must still fill out their own separate Medical History Form.
Q. How are my prescription medications shipped?
|
A. Prescription medications are shipped via Canada Post
and United States Postal Service. The packages are shipped as
"receipt required", which means that someone has to sign for the package.
This ensures the security of the medications, and provides positive feedback
to us that the package has been delivered to its destination.

Our network allows us to always have a number of pharmacies that are able to fill any order.

order faster than 24 hours, etc.
